Oilseed rape

Oilseed rape is an important source of vegetable oil for human consumption and biodiesel. In the UK, it is planted in the autumn and poor establishment can limit yields. While nitrogen applied in the autumn can increase yield the following year, its application is restricted in nitrate vulnerable zones (NVZ’s). Applying products that optimise and control nitrogen release, such as Plant Impact's eNTitonTM, helps farmers maximise their yield while remaining NVZ compliant.

Benefits of eNTiton on oilseed rape
  • Improved rooting and crop establishment in autumn.
  • Helps farmers remain compliant in nitrate vulnerable zones (NVZ).
  • Increased yields.
  • Formulated with calcium (Ca), potassium (K) or magnesium (Mg).
  • Compatibility with other AgChem foliar sprays.
yield uplift of OSR when eNTiton is applied

Yield uplift of oilseed rape

Five trials were conducted in the UK where a foliar spray of one or more eNTiton products, together with 25 kg/ ha of autumn nitrogen (N), was compared with 0, 25 or 30, and 60 kg/ha of autumn N. All trials were grown with standard maintenance and typical spring N applications. While application of 60 kg/ha N gave the highest average yield, this exceeds the legal limit in NVZ. Reduced autumn N application (25 or 30 kg/ha N) constrained yield, however the addition of eNTiton increased yield by on average 0.1 t/ha. More data can be found in the data sheet.
